International Cooperation: UMLAC Strengthens Partnership with Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved in India

Pune, India - February 3, 2025. In an important step for the expansion of its academic ecosystem, Maharishi University of Latin America and the Caribbean (UMLAC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre (DYPCARC) in Pune, India.

DYPCARC, a constituent unit of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, is an Ayurvedic institution in India with NAAC grade A accreditation and NABH certification. The strategic partnership is designed to encourage and facilitate bilateral programs that enrich the intellectual life and cultural development of both university communities.

The joint action plan includes the areas of Integrative Medicine, Health Sciences, Sustainable Management, and Vedic Architecture. Planned activities include student and faculty exchange, research aligned with institutional missions, joint scientific publications, and academic conferences.

NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) evaluates and accredits the academic quality of higher education institutions in India. NABH (National Board for Accreditation for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers) sets standards for clinical quality and patient safety in the Indian health system. This institutional foundation creates a direct bridge between UMLAC and an academic tradition linked to Ayurveda and the health sciences.
